Issaries at Tentacles conventionAs many of you know, the annual Tentacles convention will be held June 6th-9th at Castle Stahleck in Germany. As ever, Greg Stafford and his lovely wife Suzanne will be attending, along with many other luminaries (including Issaries' acquisitions editor Mark Galeotti).Although HeroQuest still will not be out at the convention (but it's coming soon), Rick Meints will once again show his support for the tribe by producing a special gift for GTA members who make the journey. As at Gloranthacon, Issaries will present each GTA member who attends a personalized Heroquest preview signed by Greg himself as part of an Orlanthi gift-giving ceremony. (Members who attended Gloranthacon will not receive an additional copy at Tentacles.) Anonymous members will remain anonymous, but we will still prepare a special copy for you as well, to be delivered "in secret" sometime during the con. This is definitely a "have to be there" event, but it's not too late to sign up and experience everything first hand. Please visit the Tentacles web site for more information on the convention. (Note: we have received a list of attendees to prepare these previews, so if you plan to attend and have not already registered, please contact us so we can be sure to have a preview ready for you.) Additionally, Greg will have another Postcards from Glorantha recognition of famous sites and artifacts, as he did last year. Issaries again invites every GTA member who will be attending to contribute. Bring a post card of a place you think could be in Glorantha. Be imaginitive and brave! (But avoid places that are so modern and useless that they have no Gloranthan equivalent.) At the party, we will have a vote to see where people think each place is. The most interesting ones will be placed up on the Issaries web site after the convention. All postcards will remain property of Issaries (so don't bring an old love letter), and although Greg gets the final say on the REAL location, we will publish the actual voted results online afterwards. Now, we know that many GTA members will not be able to attend Tentacles, given the distance, but we invite any GTA member to mail a postcard so that it can be included in the voting. Postcards should clearly identify your name; if you want to give a suggestion as to the postcard's Gloranthan identity, please make that part of your message.
